Greg loves to encourage people, especially people in ministry. He mentors pastors and church leaders to grow and make a difference in their calling.
Greg and Nancy pastored for 40 years in five churches in Illinois. Along the journey, they worked through the unique challenges that come with pastoring churches of varying sizes, from 25 in attendance to 300.
Greg served as Men’s Representative, Section Alternate Presbyter, and Presbyter.
He served as Chairman of the Red Cross in one county and as President of the Ministerial Association in most of the towns where he pastored. One of his philosophies of ministry is that you pastor a community. He also served on the Board of Directors at the Canton Chamber of Commerce, where he chaired the Business and Community Development Committee.
Greg joined the Maxwell Leadership Team in March 2012.
Greg and Nancy have four adult children and six wonderful grandchildren.
Together, they have filled in for Missionaries in Taiwan, Okinawa, and Sasebo, Japan. He has spoken at churches and college groups in Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, the Philippines, and Japan. Greg has served as an Interim Pastor at several churches in Illinois, also filling in for Pastors while they are on Sabbatical.
Greg has written two books: Journey to Significance and Journey to Mentoring. He is writing his third book in the Journey series: Journey to Be the Church: Five Mile Markers of a Growing Church, to be published in the fall of 2025. He plans to write a fourth book in the series in 2026, Journey to Character.
